DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN LOS ANGELES
Arrival in Los Angeles, the “City of Angels”. Accommodations close to the airport.
DAY 2 LOS ANGELES TO DEATH VALLEY 260 miles/420 Km
Continue north to Death Valley, one of the hottest regions in the world and a place of unexpected contrasts. See large sand dune formations, sculpted rocks, isolated valleys and volcanic craters.
DAY 3 DEATH VALLEY TO LAS VEGAS 140 miles/225 Km
Leave Death Valley behind and drive to Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the world where you will spend two nights.
DAY 4 LAS VEGAS
Las Vegas has become the entertainment capital of the country, with casino gambling, fabulous shows, a great night-life scene, and world-class restaurants, housed in the themed mega-resorts on “the Strip,” offering Las Vegas’ take on ancient Egypt, Paris, New York, Venice and much more.
DAY 5 LAS VEGAS TO ZION NATIONAL PARK 135 miles/216 Km
Leave the dusty brown mountain ranges of Nevada and drive into Utah with its stunning red rocks. At Zion National Park, desert terrain and huge, sculpted rock formations coexist with waterfalls and hanging gardens. Enjoy the Zion Canyon, a spectacular gorge carved through strangely colored sandstone by the Virgin River.
DAY 6 ZION NATIONAL PARK TO BRYCE CANYON 84 miles/134 Km
After a relatively short drive you will reach Bryce Canyon. Here you can see some of the Earth’s most colorful rocks, sculpted by erosion into pillars and other fantastic forms. You can either drive to several viewpoints or hike one of the loop trails.
DAY 7 BRYCE CANYON TO LAKE POWELL 150 miles/240 Km
This morning explore Bryce Canyon some more before heading to Lake Powell where you spend two nights.
DAY 8 LAKE POWELL
Spend the day at Lake Powell. One of the major attractions is a boat tour out to the Rainbow Bridge, the tallest natural bridge in the world.
DAY 9 LAKE POWELL TO MONUMENT VALLEY 125 miles/200 Km
Depart for Monument Valley, made famous by western movies and John Wayne, Monument Valley is one of the most photographed places in America. You can tour parts of it on your own or take a jeep tour to some of the more remote spots.
DAY 10 MONUMENT VALLEY TO GRAND CANYON 185 miles/300 Km
Continue through the Navajo Indian Reservation to Grand Canyon where you spend two nights. This is truly one of the great moments of a trip, or of a lifetime.
DAY11 GRAND CANYON
The day is yours to enjoy the Grand Canyon - drive along the rim in the free shuttle buses or walk between the different viewpoints or take an optional flight over the Canyon for an unsurpassed aerial view.
DAY 12 GRAND CANYON TO SCOTTSDALE 250 miles/400 Km
Drive to Scottsdale where you can enjoy a large selection of art galleries, restaurants and shopping opportunities, or simply relax at the hotel pool.
DAY 13 SCOTTSDALE TO PALM SPRINGS 330 miles/530 Km
On the way to Palm Springs, visit Joshua Tree National Park. Palm Springs also offers great shopping and restaurants. Take the tram ride up to Mt. Jacinto or hike through the beautiful Indian Canyons with waterfalls and palm trees.
DAY 14 PALM SPRINGS TO LOS ANGELES 175 miles/280 Km
Drive back to Los Angeles where a memorable trip comes to an end.
