DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN ATLANTA

Atlanta is not only historically interesting, but also offers many attractions. Visit Stone Mountain Park, a giant relief, carved into a mountain, or tour the Coca Cola Museum which displays everything that ever had anything to do with this ubiquitous drink. Also popular are tours of the CNN center, where you can see an actual newscast being prepared and broadcast.

Learn about the Cajun culture at Acadian Village, a restored bayou town that illustrates the life style of the Acadiens in the early 19th century or at Vermillion Ville, a living history recreation of Acadian and Creole South Louisiana from 1765 to 1890. Drive along the Mississippi River to New Orleans. Along the way you have the opportunity to visit some of the River Road Plantations.
